Supporting Confidence and Independence
Sometimes the most meaningful moments come from the smallest steps forward. One moment stands out for Justine. She watched someone gain the confidence to do something independently that they had previously relied on others to do. Over time, that person achieved goals they once thought were impossible. As a result, they developed greater confidence and independence

Finding Inspiration in Determination
Justine is continually inspired by the people she supports. She shared the story of an individual who began their journey doubting their own abilities but, through determination and a willingness to step outside their comfort zone, achieved goals they once thought were impossible.
Their persistence serves as a powerful reminder that growth often begins with believing that change is possible. It is the courage to keep trying, even when challenges arise, that can lead to remarkable outcomes.

When asked which Interchange WA value is most important, Justine found it impossible to choose just one. For her, Empowerment, Respect, Belonging, and Individuality all work together and are equally important. These values guide the way we connect with customers, families, carers, and one another. They also help create a workplace culture where people feel supported, valued, and encouraged to make a positive difference.
After joining Interchange WA, Justine says one of the things she enjoys most is working alongside friendly Interchangers who are dedicated to making the world a better place.
A Goal for the Future
Outside of work, Justine is proud of her adult children and the determination they have shown in achieving their goals. Their commitment to overcoming challenges and inspiring others continues to motivate her.
Looking ahead, Justine has a personal aspiration that is close to her heart. She hopes to write a book that shares her experiences, lessons, and insights, creating something that may inspire or encourage others while leaving a meaningful legacy for future generations.
