Our Host arrangements are one way we make that happen and it starts with someone like you.
What is a Host Arrangement?
A Host Arrangement is a flexible living arrangement where a person with disability shares a home with someone who offers support, companionship and a sense of belonging. As a host, you welcome a person into your home and your life and help them live theirs more fully.
You might:
- Offer your home as a full-time residence
- Host someone on alternate weekends or short stays
- Provide respite or emergency care, depending on your availability
No two arrangements are the same. We work with you to match the right person, support the relationship and make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
Who can become a Host?
Almost anyone! You can be:
- Single, partnered or a family
- Renting or owning your home
- Working or studying full-time or part-time
What matters most is your willingness to open your home and create a safe, stable and nurturing environment. Our Support team will go through a check to ensure that you are best fitted for this role and can be mutually beneficial.

Your responsibilities
Your main role is to create a safe and welcoming environment. The type of support you provide depends on the person you are matched with and we will support you every step of the way.
You are never on your own. You will be backed by your own Service Lead, who will check in regularly and ensure the arrangement is working well for everyone.
How to become a Host
- Register your interest: Fill out a quick enquiry form and one of our team members will get in touch.
- NDIS Worker Screening: You’ll complete a screening check to ensure everyone’s safety.
- Interview & Home Assessment: We will chat with you and visit your home to understand your environment, support capacity and preferences.
- Match & Service Proposal: We will work to find the right person and put together a tailored support plan.
- Welcome your housemate: Once everyone’s ready, the living arrangement begins, with plenty of ongoing support from Interchange WA.
