Live-in Companion

Live-in Companion gives you the option of living in your own home with the extra support of a Companion to make it possible. We connect you with a Companion or a small Support Team who lives with you in your home.

They provide day-to-day assistance, companionship, and reassurance so you can enjoy life in a safe and comfortable space that’s truly yours. If needed, your arrangement can also include rostered Support Workers to complement your Companion support.

A supportive home, shared your way

Our Shared Living Arrangements are designed to reflect how you want to live. You’ll be supported by trained employees who understand your routines and preferences, and share your home with housemates who are well-matched to your personality and communication style. Some homes have full-time live-in support, while others include a combination of rostered workers and more independent living.

With the right match of people, place, and support, shared living can offer comfort, companionship and a strong sense of belonging. Whether you prefer a smaller household or a more social setting, we help you find a home that works for your goals, needs and lifestyle.

Benefits of Interchange WA’s Live-in Companion model:

We take the time to get to know you; how you like to live, what you need help with, and what kind of home environment feels right.

With Interchange Live-in Companion, you can expect:

With the right support around you, you can continue to live in your own home with comfort, safety, and peace of mind.

You will receive support with household tasks, meals, medications, appointments, and community activities — at the level that suits you.

Living with a Companion helps you stay socially connected, engaged in your routines, and part of your life.

Your Companion is there to help with daily activities, share your home life, and support you to feel confident and capable in your own space.

As your needs or preferences change, your support plan can too. We work with you to keep your living arrangement sustainable and suited to you.

We take care to match you with a Companion who suits your personality, interests, and support needs. This may be one person or a small Support Team, depending on what works best for you.
