Brooke Draper appointed Chief Executive Officer of Interchange WA
The Board of Directors of Interchange WA is pleased to announce the appointment of Brooke Draper as Chief Executive Officer. Brooke will join Interchange WA in late November.
Brooke brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in not-for-profit organisations across Disability Services, Aged Care and community services.
She is currently Chief Operating Officer at genU, a national not-for-profit organisation delivering Disability Services, Aged Care, employment and training services. In this role, Brooke has played a key leadership role in guiding the transition following the merger with Activ Foundation, supporting organisational integration while maintaining a strong focus on employees, service quality and the people supported.
Before joining genU, Brooke served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategic Operations at Activ Foundation. She has also held senior leadership roles with Ability WA, Mission Australia and YMCA WA.
Brooke brings extensive experience in corporate and board governance, not-for-profit operations and leading complex services in highly regulated environments. Throughout her career, she has led organisational transformation, workforce reform, quality and safeguarding programs, and strategic growth, with a consistent focus on sustainable, person-centred outcomes.
Interchange WA Board Chair Mal Cronstedt said Brooke’s experience, values and leadership approach made her an excellent fit for the organisation.
“Brooke combines deep experience across the not-for-profit sector with practical leadership through significant organisational change,” Mr Cronstedt said.
“Her commitment to integrity, respectful relationships and collaboration strongly reflects Interchange WA’s values. Her focus on person-centred outcomes also aligns with our purpose of helping people with disability live great lives.”
“Brooke understands that strong services are built through listening, trust and working alongside people. We are confident she will work closely with our employees, the people we support, families and partners to build on Interchange WA’s strong foundations.”
Brooke said she was proud to be joining Interchange WA.
“I love this sector and the privilege of walking alongside people who do amazing things each and every day,” Ms Draper said.
“Interchange WA is a well-respected organisation, and I am proud to be joining the team. I look forward to listening and learning, building strong relationships, and working together to help people with disability live great lives.”
Brooke will commence with Interchange WA in late November.
