I’m proud to be part of an organisation that shares my values and passions.
Martin, our Lead Support Worker in our Midland Neighbourhood brings many great skills to his role and his values are precisely aligned with Interchange’s. We are stoked to have him as part of the team.
When asking Martin about his most cherished Interchange value, he said:
Respect is a fundamental value that resonates deeply with me. I believe that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and compassion. Respect is essential in building trust, fostering positive relationships, and creating a supportive environment that allows people to thrive.
During the past 5 years with Interchange, Martin’s career has progressed significantly. He has had many opportunities to develop his skills, take on challenges which provided learnings and also contribute to the overall growth of the organisation and his team’s success.
Interchange has provided me with a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
Martin has always been passionate about promoting inclusivity and equality. Working in the disability sector allows him to make a positive impact on people’s lives, challenge societal barriers, and advocate for the rights of individuals with disability.
Seeing people with disability overcome challenges and achieve their goals is a constant source of inspiration for me. Their resilience, determination, and courage motivate me to continue advocating for inclusivity and accessibility.
If Martin isn’t fulfilling his role at Interchange, supporting his team and Neighbourhood, he enjoys watching sports or movies, relaxing at home or being on adventures with his friends.
His wife is his main supporter and his best friend, someone he can always count on. His daughter is the one keeping him busy and filling his life with extra joy and love. He loves being a father and is a family man through and through.
Thank you, Martin – We Think You Are Awesome!
