Interchange Osborne Park customer Samara Degaris graduated with a Certificate of Achievement last week, after completing an Introduction to Gaining Access to Training and Employment (GATE) unit at the West Coast Institute TAFE (WCIT).

Samara completed the unit over the course of the year, attending classes on Tuesday and Wednesday with support from staff members Andrea and Janine. The class was the first pilot in a WCIT program designed to assist people with disability to enter the post-secondary education system.

On graduation night, Samara and her peers presented their mosaic artwork, which they had worked on together throughout the year.  Samara is now looking forward to her next challenge in the new year, when she plans to study for her Certificate I in GATE.

Well done Samara and best of luck next year!
