2019 WA Disability Support Awards are now open

18 January 2019 in NDIS & WA NDIS

In a partnership between the Department of Communities and the National Disability Service, the WA Disability Support Awards seek to recognise contributions made by individuals and teams who support people with disability to achieve their goals.

This is your chance to nominate staff members of any WA disability support providers who have gone above and beyond.

Interchange CEO Justin O’Meara-Smith encourages everyone to nominate – not just fellow staff members.

“These awards are a great opportunity for people within the Interchange community to promote the importance of having empathetic, caring and driven staff in the disability support industry.

We want people to celebrate the contribution our staff members make to supporting and improving the lives of people with disability,” says Justin.

Since 1991, Interchange has been a proud pioneer of customised, flexible planning and services for West Australians with disability. This customised and individualised approach is what the awards seek to recognise among WA disability support providers.

“The Awards recognise and reward people who go beyond ordinary standards of service and provide the highest standard of individualised support to people with disability.  The Awards also provide an opportunity to recognise excellence in leadership and innovation to continuously improve disability supports and create better outcomes.” National Disability Service (NDS) WA.

The nomination form and guidelines can be downloaded from the DSWA website. Nominations close at 5.00pm on Tuesday, 5 February 2019.
